Touchpoint 07 / 12 · Take-home information

Give the conversation something useful to go home with.

A well-designed booklet or card can carry your message beyond the appointment. Make it easy to read, easy to keep and easy to connect with the right online information.

Take-home information: Connect clear printed information to the page clients need next.

The opportunity

What will the client need once they leave?

A generic leaflet often tries to introduce every service at once. A more useful piece starts with the moment: registering a new pet, considering membership, preparing for a visit or understanding the practice’s next step.

We organise the content around that purpose, then choose the format and reading order. A welcome booklet needs a different structure from a single service card. Clear headings and practical contact information matter as much as the cover.

Print and digital are planned together. A readable web address or tested QR code should lead to the relevant information, with an appropriate fallback. Clinical information supplied for the piece remains subject to practice review and approval.

What you can commission

A practical scope around this touchpoint.

01

Content and page structure

An agreed reading order based on the questions the piece needs to answer.

02

Booklet or card design

A consistent layout using your practice identity, images and clear information hierarchy.

03

A relevant digital route

Links to the matching service, practical information or membership page.

04

Production-ready artwork

Files prepared for the agreed size, stock and print specification, plus a digital version if required.

How the pieces work together

A new-client booklet introduces the practice, explains practical contact routes and points to current registration or service information. A membership insert can be updated separately when the offer changes, without replacing the whole booklet.

Make the connection

Give the next step the same attention.

Pair the printed piece with the page it links to and a welcome email that introduces it. The same approved information can then support reception, the website and the client’s later questions.

Choose the support you need now. We agree the deliverables, responsibilities, timing and costs before production begins.

From the walkthrough to your practice

Start with the part that needs to work harder.

01 · THE BRIEF

Bring the real starting point.

Share the current materials, who receives them, when they are given out and which details change most often. Let us know whether you need copy development, design, print coordination or all three.

02 · THE WORK

Agree a useful first scope.

We define the message, formats and connections around your priority. You can commission a focused piece or combine the relevant services into one coordinated project.

03 · THE ROLLOUT

Make the change consistently.

Review the proposed work, confirm the information and agree who handles production, publication and updates. We check the agreed links and applications before handover.

A useful check

Would this work in your practice?

  • Can a client find the useful information quickly?
  • Does every printed link reach the intended page?
  • Can changeable information be updated without wasting the whole piece?

Before you brief the work

Your questions, answered.

Can we get a digital version as well?

Yes. We can include a suitable downloadable or email-friendly version in the agreed scope, checking links and reading order for that format.

Do you write clinical aftercare instructions?

Clinical instructions must be supplied or reviewed and approved by the practice. We can structure and design the material so it is easier to navigate.
